Even Simple Things Could Bring Us Happiness.
Last week some of my classmates and I went to a park near ATU to have fun.
One of the friends suggested to buy a big watermelon and eat it together in the park. Amin(one of my dear friends) and I went down the South Allameh St to a fruit shop and bought a watermelon which weighed approximately 10 KGs.Since I had terrible experiences of buying unmature watermelons for our guests in homeland, I wasn’t really sure this watermelon would come out the one I intended. I picked up one of several watermelons lying on the floor and beated it for a couple of times(a way to find a mature and a red-inside one)to hear the sound it gave out. I myself doubt if I really know what kind of a sound a mature watermelon would give out when being beated. We relied on the shopkeeper who garanteed it to be a good one. Finally, we paid the money and came out of the shop. Our classmates waiting for us were sitting in circle ,and they were chatting happpily.we all “geniuses” of ATU didn’t even think of a knife to cut that watermelon in pieces. We asked whoever was sitting in the park for a knife, but we were left empty-handed. It was really fun hearing other friends` ridiculous ideas. We even came up with the idea of knocking neighbors`doors and ask them for a knife. Suddenly a man came out of blue and asked if we needed anything, and we all answered simultaneously “knife”.He said:”I will bring you a knife in no time.”After several minitues not only did he bring us a knife, but he also brought us some plates and small forks. We suddenly turned out to be his guests and he our host.He started to cut the watermelon in pieces and spread it among us.We were having the watermelon with a lot of fun, joking ,and laughing.I undoubtedly could say it was one my best watermelons I had ever had in my life. After this memorable fun, I realized that being happy is totally in our own control;we can bring it to ourselves even by simple things like a watermelon.
